Hi Craig,

As the other professionals below have stated, commission in the state of PA is negotiable. Typically, listing agents are listing homes for between 5-6% commission.

If you haven't already listed your home, give me a call and we can discuss how to get your home sold.

Hope to hear from you!

Craig

All commissions in PA are negotiable. However, real estate agencies can charge whatever they wish. From viewing listings on the Multiple Listing Service for the past 29 years, my estimation is that over 90% of the listings in South Philadelphia are 6%.

I'd be glad to discuss commission and the other important considerations with you. My primary concern is selling South Philadelphia real estate, and I'd like to share my resume and marketing plan with you. Give me a call.

Thanks,
Tony Mecca

Dear Craigob:

I don't like to quote commission numbers without seeing the property and meeting the prospective seller. Commissions are negotiable, but the commission has to be attractive to the Real Estate community. I would be willing to meet with you in person to discuss this important matter further. Thank you for your consideration.

Thanks guys, I was looking for a around figure, I have been quoted 4, 5 and 6% the lower one mentioned a quicker sale.. I'm still up in the air over this, a quick sale sounds good but i want to make sure I dont undersell.

I'm looking to move to Delaware after this how common is it to have an agent that can help me sell and then buy in another state?

If anyone here or anywhere else gives you commission rate, it is against the law~!
There is no specific commission rate, all commissions are negotiable. Discuss the % of commission with the Realtor you are asking for a market evaluation and you are considering to be your listing agent...
As a general rule, commissions are different for different reasons, but all are negotiable, and the services that each individual Realtor and his/her brokerage provide for a specific property also is
different as their may be more required for one property than for another depending on type, size and location or any other relevant reasons.

Jason below should not have mentioned any specific %, since all commissions are negotiable....

Select the Realtor/Listing Agent you trust, who is straightforward and honest with you about the value of your home, what you should do to well prepare your home, as his/her input before even putting the home on the market can make a huge difference as can the quality of photos of your home as they appear in brochures, fliers and the various internet sites.

Jason just committed a federal crime. There is no specific commission rate. All commissions are negotiable.

Just because a company is cheaper, it depends what they offer.

Interview 3 people and see who you feel comfortable with.

I am happy to be interviewed and give you a proposal.
