Is it true modular homes have a 7 inch wall in the center of the home where as mobile homes do not?

I went into a modular house that was half open and half kitchen etc. with loft up top. It did not have anything in the middle of half the house. Try looking at a modular/mobile home dealer lot. You will find that some trailers do not seem half bad, but that modulars always feel like a house.

No not necessarily, A modular home is a home constructed in multiple sections in a factory. It is built to the same building code used by conventional site-builders and is transported to the home site where it is placed on a permanent foundation. So if your purchasing a new modular home you actually are able to design the layout of how they will construct it in the factory and the walls can be placed where you'd like them to be. Obviously with the OK by the Architect/ Engineer
