Is it legal to have two HOAs on the same property?

We are selling a home and being charged two transfer fees from Sundance residential HOA and Sundance master community HOA with exorbitant fees when put together. The HOA claims two are necessary because there is "shared" land between the two HOAs.

Sharyl, although, I don't have an answer to your question, I appreciate knowing that you were charged two transfer fees. If you don't mind, could you let us know what the fees were.

This way if I or anyone on my team is working with a buyer / seller in Buckeye we can be aware of the fees.

Thank you

Possibly, this is a situation that may be better referred to an attoryney. A good real estate attorney will be familiar with the ins and outs of HOA's and can help you deal with the HOA's. I don't know about your State, but where I am HOA's can be very hard to deal with, especially when negotiating fees, fines or liens they say you owe. Put you mind at ease and call an attorney. Good Luck.
