Hi Maulin,

I just wrote a blog on activerain about interviewing agents. It's a great place to start.

oh boy, Maulin! You've opened the floodgates now!! :-). There are plenty of qualified, experienced and professional Realtors in our Portland marketplace (and, then, there are the part-timers, less-than-qualified and not-so-professional). How does one start making that choice? A site like Trulia is one way where you can interview from a group of active, engaged Realtors. But, you can also inquire of friends and family for a referral. This is a business of relationships and trust and mutual respect. I have been in the business of helping people buy and sell since 1985 and I tend to work mostly by referral from my sphere. It makes my interactions start with a base of trust because that referral comes a trusted source. I recently wrote an article on buyer & seller agency and how I feel agency works for both the Realtor AND the public on my http://www.fabulousportland.com site. You can go directly to http://fabulousportland.com/2009/06/21/what-is-agency-and-wh… if you would like to read it. Have a fun and safe 4rth of July weekend!!!

Hi Maulin,
I am sure you are going to get alot of responses from alot of qualified Realtors to help with the sell of your home. Between everyone's years of experience or top notch team you are sure not to go wrong with whoever you choose, for everyone will list and market your property to the fullest extent. I of course would like to offer my services and would be happy to write off a resume of awards, years, experience and testimonials.
But I feel what would be best for your case is to call a few of us below and see which person is the best fit for you. This in my opinion will be the most important factor since you will be working with them for the next month minimum. An excellent broker that doesn't communicate well with you will be a bad choice.

My strong point to offer you is that I am a Portland Relocation Specialist. I am working with families moving to Portland from across the US. Your listing will be given top priority to all of my out-of-state financially qualified buyers that are ready to purchase. Sellwood and West/Eastmoreland are popular spots for many of my relocation clients. Tapping the relocation market as well as equally listing on the MLS, market in ALL the avenues available and hold open houses. A winning combination.

To see first hand what out of state folks are viewing for a Portland Relocation, http://www.RelocationToPortland.com Read an in-depth guide on all of your favorite Portland neighborhoods, Portland schools and places of interest, not to mention an interactive home searching map with "Walk Score" built into each home you preview. This feature on my site is the first of its kind and unlike any home searching map you have seen. http://www.RelocationToPortland.com is equally effective for a long time resident looking to move into a new neighborhood or for a cross country buyer.
I look forward to hearing from you.

Thank you,

There are lots of good brokers around. You need to find someone who is good and matches your personality. Take a look at the following link: http://www.bybryson.com/advice_center/tips_sellers/findingth…

The advice center at my web site has other tips about selling, buying, getting a mortgage & more: http://www.bybryson.com/advice.htm

Having been in the business almost 10 years in Clackamas County, I know a number of good brokers who serve your area. If you will send me an e-mail directly, I will be glad to send you a name or two..

Best of Luck

I have two buyers for Westmoreland, depending on the price we could do a single party listing. Give me a call and we can discuss this? Thanks,

Plus, if you want to sell the home as quickly as possible and for the most amount of money, make sure it is professionally staged. I can provide you with extremely affordable online home staging expertise if you don't mind doing the actual work yourself, or you can get a local home stager to come in for a consultation or for a full blown service.
