Congratulations Jennifer! Keep in mind most MLS systems also feed into other sites, like realtor.com - so your home will be seen by the public as well as the Realtors using the MLS.

FIRST ANSWER
Now the realtors will be able to see it and the buyers will find it when they do a search for homes. I hope your Realtor is giving you good advice and helping you to market your home well. She's probably doing a TV ad, open houses, an Agent open house, color flyers and much more as well as the MLS for you to hlep you find the right buyers for your home. With multiple homes on the market, it's also easy when an agent giving feedback says, this wasn't the right house, because, for an agent to say, then take a look at my listing at XYZ.
