I took the NYS real estate course and passed, but never took the exam. How long do I have to do so?

Did you take the 45 hour course or the 75 hour course? If you took the old 45 hour course you missed your opportunity to take the exam on July 1st. You will need to take an additional 30 hours of class work in order to get your license.

The state requirements have changed, I think you will need to take additional hours. Check with your local Board of Realtors.

You should check with the NY state real estate commission or on their web site. In most places it is 1 year from when you finish the class. check http://www.dos.state.ny.us/LCNS/licensing.html

Good luck with the test...
