I still own a home jointly with my ex-husband. The home has been listed for over a year and a half with no serious offers being submitted. The home
is priced below appraisal value. I have decided to refinance my mortgage to remove my ex-husband from the load and simply take back possession of the home. The real estate broker is telling me that constitutes a "sale" and is demanding full commission. That doesn't sound right to me. Any input would be greatly appreciated.
