Tina,
There are many business models that may offer what you're looking for. As with any contract, I suggest reading the fine print and getting a written marketing plan for your property. Some MLS's in the area will only send Exclusive Right to Sell - Full Service properties to large internet websites like Realtor.com and Trulia. Others may be more liberal.
When interviewing agents, I suggest asking tough questions about how your home will be marketed, and request information from the agent like their List Price to Sale Price ratio and what percentage of homes are actually selling.
If you are in danger of loosing your property or are, like the majority of homeowners, upside down in your mortgage, I suggest contacting the State of Michigan http://michigan.gov/mshda/0,1607,7-141-45866_47905-177801--,
to see if you qualify for assistance from one of the programs available.
