him, but am technically still under contract for a couple more months. Can I legally back out of the contract and find someone different to list my home?

No opinion can be rendered unless you have full review of listing agreement.

Sorry hear you are having problems however have you spoken to agent? You may not be aware of all areas on web your home could be marketed.

Who have advised your another Realtor?

Do you know the DOM request your agent provide that info.

Many factors come into selling a home . Speak with their broker for any concerns.

Have you talked to your agent? Have you asked him what he has done to market your home? It could be that the home is overpriced and he is not getting good results from his efforts. Open communication between sellers and Realtors is so important. I find that most people who have expire listings and do not renew with the same agent are frustrated not only because the house didn't sell but more importantly because the agent didn't keeep in contact.

Review your contract, talk with your agent, and if needed talk to the broker about the situation. Then weigh your options and make a decision.

Florence,

Did your recieve a written "markerting plan" from your agent that covered the scope of their approach to sell your home?

If your agent is not providing the level of service that he/she agreed to provide our recommendation is to confront them on the issue and request an immediate adjustment in their approach. Should this not work, consider making contact with their broker and request to be released from your agreement based on an unacceptable level of customer service.

Good luck

For me if a seller isnt happy with me and my marketing I will let them out of the Listing contract by just asking. What is he not doing that he said he would?
