Oh and I am getting a job too, so for those men I was joking about cracking the whip my husband may even stay up in VA/Wash DC area working and fly in every mo. 32 yrs of marriage, I love him but my dogs give me allot of love.
Oh and do a search online of properties in your zip code and see what they are going for and then you can start adding on items you have on your house that those houses do not and get an idea. Plus we found that down there is what over 6000 agents and they are all screaming to come out to meet you and give you their idea. Be careful though they will usually "Underprice it to get it listed and sold FAST and you lose allot of money". All this bit of "everyone down there getting all excited about the snowbirds coming in and selling and prices going up"...NOTTA Most snowbirds are the ones defaulting on loans as they "think" they can afford a vacation property. I see a heck of allot of homes still on the market now almost a yr, nice homes too and they are not selling.
Good Luck..and I hope I sell this house before the dream house is sold down there. We figure most people are not buying retirement homes for over half a million so we maybe ok. Negotiate NEG..
