Julie,
You can list it on http://www.zillow.com for free, and they have more traffic (people looking...web hits) than trulia.com
Julie
Not only do you need to list it with a Realtor to get it on Trulia...you need to list it in order to receive top dollar and get it sold. I would suggest posting a question such as "how do I net the most when I sell my home" or something like that.
NAR does an annual survey of homeowners who sell on their own:
86% list with a Realtor
5% Sell to someone they know
5% to someone they don't know
Homes sold by Realtors compared to owners sell at 16% higher.
Trulia does business with brokerages and doesn't advertise FSBO (for sale by owner) properties as far as I know. You can put it on Craigslist and some FSBO sites.
Hmmm...I seem to recall when I first found Trulia that I had to be a Realtor in order to place my properties here. Check with the site people, though. When you list with a Realtor, ask your Realtor to place your home on here.
Trulia is not a real estate brokerage so be careful with the word "list" but I think what you are asking is whether or not your house, when listed by a realtor, will show up on Trulia. The answer is most likely "Yes"
