Some people don't have good vision when it comes to interior design/decorating. Staged homes can give these people an idea of what the home may look like when/if they own it. Skilled staging can make homes sell.

It's mixed. Getting rid of clutter, personal items, etc. - yeah, that's necessary.
Formal staging, particularly of a vacant house - depends on the buyer.

When professionally staged buyers get a sense of the flow of the home and can visualize living there.

Well, both of these options are really the same! Both are vacant homes, and really the better question is whether it is better for a seller to vacate a house to sell it, or try and sell while they live there. Often sellers think they are Staging their house because they hid some of their belonging and packed some stuff away, but it's still much harder to show a house that is occupied, you need to make appointments, and it looks lived in. Staging a vacant house does give a sense of proportions and layout ideas, but vacant gives the idea that the house is available right now, and bring your offer!

Staged Homes are more attractive to the clients.

I like staging a home.. it gives you the feeling of livability without all of the personal items.
People feel great at a hotel staged homes feel the same way to a buyer..

Depending on the quality of the staging, I sometimes think empty homes show better.

A pro staged home will show better, but will the sale price warrant the cost

i think it helps the potential buyers see what it will look with some furniture

Are you kidding? This is like asking, "what's more comfortable, a canoe or a luxury yacht?"

Staged homes always show better than empty homes. Staged homes have character and warmth and buyers tend to stay in the home longer!
