It really depends on the location of your home, the condition of your home and the price you put on your home. If you overprice your home in todays market it will sit because there are many homes for buyers to choose from, and why would they want an overpriced home?
I recently sold a home in Machesney Park in under 30 days, and have listings that have been on the market for almost 120 days. Which I firmly believe have to do with price on both and location on another.
Homes that are in good condition and priced right are still selling in our market. The higher price ranges are taking a longer to sell. It would be beneficial for you to talk with an agent and see how your home compares to others and they would be able to tell you how long the marketing time for your price range and location is.
