I'm closing on a house in the 30004 zip code on Wed., located in the Stonebrook Farms subdivision off of Thompson Road.
Everyone else who answered gave statistical information. I'm just wondering why you asked... are you interested in selling your house located in this area? If so, the key to selling remains the same as always (regardless of the market activity) you need to have a house that shows better than your competition and priced competitively.
To answer your question...yes, houses are selling in the Milton/Alpharetta, GA 30004 area.
With 89 Pending Sales and nearly 300 Solds in the past 6 months in zip code 30004...Alpharetta/Milton is doing very well. It might be helpful to narrow that down to the specific price point that you are interested in, b/c these numbers are based on ALL sales. It's a great location with excellent schools. Alpharetta is one of the most sought out areas of North Metro Atlanta right now...and the Milton area of Alpharetta is even more desireable the rest of it.
Although I live in East Cobb/Marietta, my office is in Roswell, close to the Alpharetta/Milton area.

If you break it down to just 30004 the numbers are not quite as good for single family detached but better for single family attached.
Single family attached 29 out of 235 under contract ( about 1 out of 8) and 14 closed sales
Single family detached 57 out of 705 ( 1 in 12.6 ) and 33 closed sales
Looks like about 156 single family DETACHED homes have gone under contract in the last 30 days in 30005,30004,30022 and 30009 combined. With 1398 active listings that's about 1 in 10 homes going under contract....pretty good for this time of year.
Also have a least 96 closed sales...reporting lags up to 2 weeks on closed sales so that number could be considerably higher.
Numbers for single family attached are 56 under contract out of 498 listings or about 1 out of 9 condos/townhomes under contract in last 30 days and 23 closed sales...again reporting of closed sales lags a couple weeks so there are likely more than this number.
