Our house is valued around $550k-650k. How much would you pay to have the house staged? Also, we plan to live in the house during the sales cycle. thanks!
Check out this recent article on Kiplinger regarding ways to stage your home for under 1000 bucks. Maybe better and cheaper than hring a full out home stager.

Hello M.K. The value of your home will not determine the cost of the staging. It's the sq ft, bed and bath count, family room.....
Feel free to give me a call and I will refer you to a few stagers who will work with you on the price.

Staging prices vary based on the company you hire, your realtor and a large number of other variables. As an example, if you hire us to list your home, in addition to top-notch marketing, we include fully professional staging and profesisonal photography at no cost to you.

Here is a link that stresses the importance of quality staging:

Hi M.K.,
You are getting your house staged while living in it? Usually, vacant homes get staged to get the "lived in" feel. I don't know of a company that will let you use their furniture as you are trying to sell your house. You may have to go with an interior designer/decorator and have them rent used furniture on a short term basis.
In the 550-650k price range your furniture doesn't need to look like it came out of a design magazine. Just make sure the home is clean and organized.
