Hi Karen,

Listing your home with a reputable realtor with knowledge of your community will benefit you in many ways. First they will help you prepare your home for market, this refers to repairs or sprucing up your property. Second they will help you price your property to be competitive in your market place. Third they help you stage the property so it will be more attractive to buyers. Fourth they place your property on the Multiple listing service and that not only have your home appear on Trulia but also two hundred other real estate websites as well. The fifth step will be helping you analyze which offer is the best so you not only get your home under contract but hopefully get your home all the way to settlement which is the last step of selling your home. In between getting your home under contract and settlement you will have the inspection, radon, appraisal and finance contingencies to navigate. These are hurdles that a skilled professional will help you navigate along the way. I hope this was a helpful synopsis of the selling process. Please feel free to contact me with any questions you may have.

Kind Regards,

Hi Karen,

Your property would need to be in the Maryland MLS in order to appear on Trulia. Your agent can take care of this for you at no cost to him/her once they have an MLS number.

The fastest method to sell your home for the most money is using the services of a Realtor. There are Realtor's right now with potential buyers for your home who DO NOT search Trulia for new home listings but the local MRIS( Metropolitan Regional Information System) system.....where they should be searching. Having your home listed through the MRIS is the fastest method to place your home "Under-Contract" to buyers who have already been qualified with a lender and ready to buy and more importantly....who can settle on your home.

A Montgomery County home sale contract is 54 pages containing 5,018 words. Do you really want to navigate all that legaleeze by yourself??

You would use a doctor to perform a needed operation.....use a Realtor to sell your home.

Work first on the MLS. Then you start enlisting to various real estate websites such as this

Finding an agent that is a marketing expert that will expose your property to numerous websites is the best way to show your property to the world through websites such as Trulia and others.

Both of these answers are spot on. If you're selling FSBO, you can't list it here. If you're an agent you can click "submit your listings" at the bottom of the screen.

You would have to have it go on MLS first which is the main source and then it would hit all the secondary websites thereafter which is like Trulia, Realtor.com, etc... But that has to come from a Realtor listing it through MLS. Hope that helps.

You do not,
Unless you are a Realtor and the house is LISTED on your local MLS.
