I have found that the automated tools for finding value are not too good. There is still no replacement for someone doing an indepth analysis.

Hi Jackie,
About home values . . . I have foundhttp:// www.zillow.com to be off quite a bit when it comes to current market value. The site does not take a lot of factors into consideration and therefore should not be given too much credit if you're serious about looking into the value of your home.
Any agent out there will fall over their own two feet to give you a free analysis of your home's value. I recommend you ask three agents to do so and then take it all with a grain of salt, because at the end of the day, your home is only worth what someone is willing to pay for it.

The best way to find the value of your home is to have a realtor prepare a complimentary CMA. It’s also helpful if the agent specializes in the area of interest.
