How do I determine who the most active realtors are in my community?

Help the community by answering this question:

Suppose that agent does foreclosures and gets 50 to 75 cents on the dollar for your home. Still interested??

Yes, you should interview several agents and focus on their marketing.

Actually I found my realtor at a random open house (this was back when there were more open houses around). She seemed to have the right mix of being open and honest yet fairly representing the home seller. I could tell she was kind of a tough cookie. And she's been great.

You def. don't want someone who works on volume alone..... but try to meet them when they're on the job, if possible....

Good luck!

Yes that is exactly true, you should interview.
Call me and I'll arrange an introduction with a dynamic agent in your area.
If you go to my website, located on the bottom of the site you will find an informational list for Sellers and one of the items is a questionnaire to use when interviewing. Good Luck.

Maybe I should clarify. I'm looking to sell my home and have often heard that it's best to interview several agents. One of my top criteria is an agent who has a high turnover rate in my area.

Based upon my interpretation of your question, I would agree with Missy. Because over 80 percent of consumers look online for real estate, you want someone with a good online presence. If you choose to select a real estate company, rather than just an agent, you should do the same thing by entering

site: "Real Estate Company Name" substituting each company name within the quotation marks.

I suggest interviewing at least three agents even if you're purchasing a home. Homeowners should make their decision based upon their marketing (and make the agent show you all marketing for your home).

Additional places to look for an agent
http://Realtor.com (all Realtors(R) in your area will be on this site)
http://mirealtors.com/consumers.html the Michigan Association of Realtors(R) website, find a Realtor(R) is in the top menu This will also contain all the Realtors(R)
http://activerain.com this site will not contain all agents, but will have most that utilize the Internet
http://Trulia.com use the member search selection.

The website below contains several real estate related forms and a home search.
