How can I get my house listed on trulia??

Asked by Elese, 55446 Thu Jul 10, 2008

Our house is currently listed with an agent, but I don't think it's getting enough exposure. It's waterfront property and has been listed for 8 months!!! Help!

I've heard people say you can post it yourself on postlets.com and it will feed into trulia.

Only Realtors can put your home on Trulia.

If you house has not sold, lower the price until it does. Be aggressive and in front of the market...stop chasing it.

Exposure on the web is important, but you should know that over 90% of the time the buyer is brought by another REALTOR. So that means if a property is not being shown that all of the REaltors are on vacation.

No, just kidding, they are selling OTHER homes that buyers perceive to have more value. How many homes, like yours, have sold in the last 8 months? How many lowered their price? How many went into escrow?

Typically a well-priced and marketed home will see 10-12 showings in the first two weeks of market time, and that should produce one offer. If not, then a price adjustment is in order. There are many other things you can do to add value, ask your Realtor, but price is #1.

Elese,

Have your agent create an account with Trulia and post your listing.

Send them this link and ask them to get it posted today:

I hope that helps.
