I am trying to find out how much a house sold for in my Aunt's neighborhood. She is attempting to sell her house and would like to have a point of reference. She lives in Hollywood, Florida. Thanks!

There are alot of good sites to give her an idea of what homes are selling for to name a few. http://www.zillow.com/
http://www.bankofamerica.com/loansandhomes/index.cfm?templat…
Hope that gives you an idea.Or you could even search Broward county property appriaser at

Hi Lau,

I would be happy to do a comparative market analysis for your aunt, to show her recent sales prices on homes that are most similar to hers, in terms of square footage, property condition, and other features. It is really important when trying to determine a sales price to compare apples to apples.

I would do this analysis free of charge, and with no obligation - with the understanding that your aunt intends to attempt to sell the home on her own. I would simply ask that if she were unable to sell on her own that she would give me a call. I've recently sold homes in different parts of Hollywood, so I am quite familiar with homes values there.

Please get in touch at your convenience - I am happy to help.

Hi Lau,

If you just want to find out the sales price, go to: http://WWW.BCPA.NET. Search by address and if the sale has already been recorded with the property appraiser you will see the recent sales price.

If that doesn't work, send me an email with the address of the property that sold and I will be happy to do what I can to research the information for you.

If there's anything else I can do to help please call me.

Hi Lau,
It is normal for a realtor to do th comparables when taking a listing. I would assume your aunt has a realtor to do this.
It would not be possible to do the comps without seeing the house and knowing all of the details.
Please advise her to not try to sell by owner in this market, I feel it is a mistake. In the old days when things were selling very fast, it may have been a good option. Today, with short sales and foreclosures dominating the market, especially in South Florida, I really advise professional help.

If I can be of assistance feel free to contact me directly, I am very familiar with the Hollywood area.
