The home sold for $78.31 per square foot (1,759 square feet). This was above the average ($67.10/sq ft) for Artesian Oaks at the time (the average now - over the past 6 months - has dropped to $56.45/sq ft.). So this house was actually above the average (it has a large corner lot, which would have some to do with that). The house was over priced and sat on the market for 145 days, which is why, it would seem, they finally sold the property for the $137,750.

You asked a Realtor and a Realtor in your area should know, if the listing was on the MLS which it was.
The house was for sale for $149,000 and sold for $137,750 9/30 of last year. We do not know the circumstances of the people selling to know why they took so little.

To save you a trip to the tax office, I looked up the property for you. According to my records, the tax paid on 202 Tupelo in Conroe was $2,289.81, which included an exemption for the owner being over 65.
