Low Impact fees and property taxes and having horses attract many people to this area. Employment is always an issue in any real estate market. "Consult a Realtor" Develop a sales strategy and don't be afraid to try several methods of advertising. Make your place "the" bargain. Remember you are competing with a huge inventory of homes for sale.

Yes, homes do sell in the Morriston area as snowbirds and horse people are discovering Levy County as an alternative to Ocala/ Marion County. With HITS being a huge anchor.

I noticed you had another question, I actually had to look up where Morriston Fl was. I don't have any sales information but I had a house I was selling in Ocala. The market up there was strong for quite awhile and has been soft as of late. Have your realtor do a comparative Market analysis with all the recent sales data you will be able to see what price you should be at, also if you don't have a recent appraisal you may want to get one. Also have your realtor tell you how many sales there were in the area and the days they were on market. This will at least give yo u an Idea. Also if you go to my link at caronhometeam.com and hit market report at the top of the page it should give you an idea of what was sold around you. I hope this helps Good Luck
