Do agents look at commission %. Would you show a house more if the commision was 4% instead of 3%?

Agents please do not state commission rates since this is an anti trust violation. Use statement of X% or less than X%. Don't want to visit you in jail.

There is over 6,000 homes for sale in the Albuquerque/Rio Rancho area. There are so many homes to show that most must be cut for buyer's tour. If a listing does not offer the normal commision, chances of selling becomes less. The higher commision listing might make the cut. Brokers will pick the best of the best.

@ Debbie Then my equity would have risen from less than nothing... to nothing ..due to the services of an Agent.

Win Win for everybody !!!!!

@ Rockinblu

The link you provided works....Once again the better man provides. Thank-you
Can't figure out why my links worked earlier but not now. (Aliens?) (Victor?)

Dunes - with your sense of humor, I'd list your home for nothing.......of course, that's what I'd probably wind up netting you, too.......

I will only show home that offer the Standard Set in Concrete Commission of 12% or more.

Actually I'm not an Agent I'm only the local Anti-everything RE guy.

I JUST DISCOVERED..I provided the link about an hour ago to the thread Debbie referred to and at the time it worked. (I did check it) Now the links do not work.

The examples of my great wit, overwhelming debating skills and no way you can refute it logic appear to be lost.

I don't know what other info was there as I didn't read any comments except mine.

Guess another thread of over 700 comments will have to be created here. When I find my Smoking Jacket and pipe I'll return to add some of my impressive logic filled ponderings or was that wanderings.

I look out for my buyers needs and wants first. If 4% is offered, nice additional bonus. You might suggest to your seller to offer assistance to buyers closing costs.

There was a very long thread that might still be ongoing dealing with this very issue.

Good for you Charmelle !
Correct (politically correct, and otherwise!) answer - you will meet your clients' needs - that's first and foremost. The "extra" commission is a nice bonus, but not a driving factor.

Obviously, Christina, Charmelle and I don't look at commission ....we base showings on what the buyer wants. There are more like us out there!

I think of my Buyers needs first, so I show listings that meet the needs of my Buyers. If the commission is 4% that is a wonderful bonus!
