Hi Vantilt........the best thing to do is ask your Realtor to put your listing here in Trulia. If you put it here yourself and have an interested party, you have to pay a commission to your Realtor anyway. That is what you pay him/her for....to do your marketing. Good luck!

Hi Again,
Forgot one other option for you to try. Earlier post I said you could reach out to Trulia via the Contact Us. You can also post your question under the category of "Using Trulia" and that might help. The responders receive alerts when a new question is posted under their chosen categories.
Good Luck

Hi Vantilt,

I don't think that anyone is wanting to "not admit that you can't list your property on Trulia."

I think it really comes down to 2 things:

1) Most of the posters and responders expect that your Realtor should be doing this for you. We do this for our clients and because you have a Realtor we are expecting that your Realtor would do the same for you. Since Trulia is still not known to all Realtors, we assume that to be the reason in your case, and simply advise how your Realtor can accomplish this for you.

2) All your responses came from agents and brokers and this is how we put lisitngs on Trulia. We are simply sharing with you what we know, and not able to share with you that which we do not. In the case of my company, we have a staff member who creates the feeds as described in your various responses.

I do know that Trulia does monitor the threads and does chime in sometimes. Perhaps they will here. Alternatively, you could try to reach out directly to Trulia via the Contact Us or Feedback buttons.

I don't think you can upload a listing to Trulia via a yahoo site crawl. You can only submit a site if you are the owner of the site. I am sorry that you are frustrated, but I believe that most of the responders were sincerely trying to be helpful.

No I am not listed after 4 days.... It is very sad to hear that nobody admits I am not able to list my property on Trulia myself.... Do I have to be affiliated? Is there a pricelist available? As a seller I request Trulia to make it clear that private parties cannot list on Trulia. Is this discrimination?

There may be a couple days of lag time before you see the listing. Hopefully, you have it represented on the site by now. For other sellers: The topic of internet exposure is an excellent conversation for a seller to have with any Realtor that is interviewed prior to the listing of the home. Since the overwhelming majority of buyers are out there searching the internet for home information prior to or while they are working with a Realtor, it is critic to get the information, photos, and virtual tours out there to be seen.

I recommend getting your agent onboard with any advertising you do. After all, you should make the most of their professional expertise and have them field questions that arise from your Trulia exposure. In fact, this is an excellent opening to talk about the other advertising venues available to you.

Best of Luck on your listing!

Some of the larger real estate companies have a corporate relationship with Trulia and the listings automatically are posted on Trulia. The agent does not need to post the listing in that situation, but should verify a few days after the listing has been entered into the real estate company's system that the feed to Trulia posted.

If your Realtor has questions, he can contact Trulia and they will walk him through the process.

Vantilt,
Trulia is a relatively new site/service. Through no fault of his/her own, your listing agent may not even be aware of it (even though it is great!). If you ask your REALTOR, I'm certain he/she will be more than happy to post it on Trulia; and will probably thank you for pointing out this valuable service. Best of luck!

Hi Vantilt,

Deborah is right. There is a feed that your agent can create, pulling your listing from the MLS. Best of luck to you!
