Are there any discount brokerages in or near El Sobrante?

I want to put my property on the Multiple Listing Service that services El Sobrante, and that's all I want to do. I want to do this without being obligated to pay 3%-6%. Are there any discount brokerages that can do this for me?

Just remember that you get what you pay for. Recently a gentleman asked us to give him a listing presentation and we gladly did so. At our meeting we discussed discount brokerage firms and what he could expect when using one of them.

We have a listing in the same building as this gentleman. He is hating life right about now because he chose a discount broker. All they did for him was provide a sign and put it on the MLS.

We do so much more than that to market a home because we want to get our listings S O L D !!!!

If you engage a discount broker be sure you have a lot of time on your hands because you will be the one doing all the work - open houses, advertising, et cetera. A full-service Realtor can give you staging tips or help you stage or refer you to a professional stager. They will also let you know what your home needs to show at its best in order to get you top dollar.

Wishing you the best!

Ts, Just curious- why do you only want to get it on the MLS? What is important to you- do you want it sold, or do you only want it listed on the MLS? Isn't the real idea what your net is in the end? Today, it's taking a lot more to get a property sold than having it listed on the MLS. With the right agent you will end up with far more than the 5 or 6% that you'll pay in commissions. The proof of that is the statistics which show that FSBO's get 15-17% LESS than homes represented by Realtors. Rather than saving 5 or 6% you might just end up PUTTING 10-12% more in your pocket. Think about it!

You can ask any local broker if they do "menu marketing" and get it put on the MLS for a fixed dollar amount. Help u sell will also do this for you.
