All commissions are negotiable, the seller pays the commission, although when considering a reduced commission, consider the market , with reduced commissions comes reduced marketing, in these times we need to get our properties out to every site available, every publication available. That may not be included with a reduced commission.
Good luck to you and if you are not working with an agent, feel free to call me, I will present my marketing plan and various marketing tools that have been successful in selling homes at the highest price and in the least amount of time.

Yes, real estate commissions are negotiable in California…and in every state.
At the same time, our real estate team has an expectation of what we should earn for the effort we put into our business. We are full-time, experienced, well-educated (in a professional sense), well-trained, professionals. We use modern tools and techniques to deliver the best possible experience to our clients. We expect to be properly compensated for our work.
There are many agents available for you to choose among with a variety of business models and a variety of experience and different levels of success. Discuss commission. Negotiate commission. Do not make your decision based on commission, alone.
EXAMPLE: My business plan for our real estate services is extremely different than any other Realtor in Dallas area.
Lynn911 Dallas Realtor & Consultant,
Be cautious with "low-cost discount brokers" as they may not be giving you the best marketing and not getting your listing out to all possible avenues. It is still a buyers market so it very important to have a trusted and competent agent.
Let me know if you have any further questions.
