Hello Tennis, Yes, absolutely. You can check out the Los Angeles County Assessor's website, http://assessor.lacounty.gov. I have found that they are a few months behind in updating their records however.

Yes, all home sales are public records, as the property taxes are based on the sales price. The owner's name and information is not necessarily public record.

Yes. The town clerk or similar position records all property transfers (sales). Many towns now have searchable databases which tell you where (book and page) to find the record for a property. That informtion is also available on records kept by the tax assessor. They may not always give the price however. Some are recorded as sold for $1 and other valuable consideration.
