Hi Jennifer,
Are you asking a Real Estate Broker to buy your house in Lexington? If you have no mortgage, then you should be able to get an equity loan on your house to facilitate the purchase of the home in Arizona. I assume that is what you are trying to do. I can understand, though, why you would be reluctant to own 3 houses. But, you can see why a Broker in Lexington wouldn't be likely to be interested in buying your home, since you wouldn't be buying another home in the Lexington area. And if a Broker were interested in buying your home, you can bet that it wouldn't be for a price that is anywhere near it's full value, because he would have to re-sell it. So, I'm not in Lexington (I'm in Owensboro), but you would have to be willing to take a beating on the house in Lexington, to entice a Broker to buy it. Why not price it right and get it sold?
Good luck,
John
