When I first started in real estate I viewed many of the webinars and tutorials online that our association provides through the local MLS.

I would imagine Fred Eklund should be releasing a fun to read "The Sell" sometime in April. I dont think it will be very technical but it should still be pretty interesting to read what one of the most successfull NYC brokers has to say.

There are so many great books out there to read... its personal preference and depends on what your looking for. I go on amazon and put in real estate books and an entire list comes up with tons of options to choose from. I found ones that appeal to me and what my needs are and go from there...

Hope this helps. Good luck to you in your new adventure!
Cheers!

Dear Dunne05:

These three will be a good start:

1) How to Win Friends and Influence People by Dale Carnegie

2) The Millionairre Real Estate Agent by Gary Keller

3) Use What You Got by Barbara Corcoran

If you want give me a call and we can discuss others that may be good for you.

Sincerely,

The books by Gary Keller are great...I'd also suggest going to all the seminars available through your board, and asking experienced agents on how to start. I'm sure many will be happy to help.

Good luck!

There are several options available to you. The Real Estate Agent's Business Planning Guide might be a good place to start. Good coaching and hand-holding would make this career very fulfilling. I offer these complimentary to all my incoming team members. Let me know if you need further direction.

Best wishes,

W.
