For such a wonderful, well-built house, the whole process has been amazingly difficult and confusing.
When your listing expired in February, that listing only indicated 3949 square feet. The prior listing only indicated 3628 square feet.
Was it measured by a licensed appraiser for that listing? Did that include your finished attic?
Have you had it measured by a licensed appraiser to support the 4000 square foot claim? That is a great way to avoid liability for misrepresentation.
As mentioned in your other thread, to update the photos, you will need to be on MLS, as Trulia sweeps listing details from MLS and from agents.
Also, you should bear in mind that Trulia is not a great venue for advertising homes to actually sell them. Trulia is for agents to troll ads to catch potential clients.
Trulia should be an afterthought, not a cornerstone of an aggressive advertising campaign.
It would be an easy fix if your home were listed with a Realtor. I could make changes for you through the MLS system and it would be automatically distributed to a ton of real estate websites, including Trulia. I'd love the opportunity to talk with you about other advantages of using a Realtor to sell your home. Call or email...
