Hi Lan,
I used Oswald Trippe and Co to shop the best rates for me. I have similar scenario. Initially was paying around $1800 per year and then I got a wind mitigation inspection and they sent me a check for over $600 back and now I have pretty close to what you are wanting but I am not in Bonita. Some areas of 34135 do not require flood ins. and you should be okay. Give Steve Ridenour a call at 239-433-7181 or email him at sridenour@otc1.com. Hope he can help.

Lan,

Most likely not. You have to take into account wind insurance and flood insurance. If you have a mortgage, your lender will require all of those things. If you're paying cash............well, that's your choice to insure or not. I would never recommend not fully insuring your home (whether it's paid for or not). Shop around as much as possible and ask what things you can do to bring your premium down. There are some really great tips an insurance agent can give you in order to help with that.
