Some time has passed since this was posted, but I suggest you find a State Farm Office and get a quote from them. My rates were reduced tremendously.

Hi so sorry, I forgot to attach this video I recording with an Insurance Broker, this video is not used to advertise one particular insurance company, this is for information and educational purpose only. You must feel comfortable with whomever you work with.

My suggestion would be to speak to different insurance agents and don’t give you social security number (SSN) until you have made a decision. Every time you give your SSN it will reduce you credit scores. Also, if you give out your SSN to companies/agents try to do all within the same week so it will not hit your credit as hard. If you have any other insurance maybe check with that company because they may offer a multi policy discount. Good Luck!

I would first check with your friends, then check out the larger firms.

Any of the major insurance carriers such as Allstate, Traveler's, Geico, etc carry apartment insurance for coops. It is standard that you are required to secure this before closing.

Ask people you may know for referrals, or contact a few local insurance agencies and ask for free quotes based on your needs.
