Lynda Tabeta, Other/Just Looking in Ukranian Village, Ch...

why is the at 1820 W. Erie off the market?

Asked by Lynda Tabeta, Ukranian Village, Chicago, IL Sat Apr 9, 2011

I owned that house about 10 years ago and lost it in foreclosure thru not understanding legal lingo from the bank and court, I made a loan to save the house, but the people from the loan company wanted $1,000 before I could pick up the check and take it to the lawyer, it was like 1 day before the auction. So I was wondering why no one has lived in that house since then, and if anything was done illegally

Hi, Lynda.

Thank you for posting a question for us here. This property is not, as you say, currently on the market.
It was last listed for 399k in 2008 and the MLS information indicates that it is owned currently by Pb Holdings LLC.

Please feel free to contact one of our agents at 312.242.1000 if you would like us to get further information for you.

Not sure why, but its not on the market now. If your looking to buy it, you should contact your agent, and see if they could get a hold of the old listing agent to see if they are interested in selling again.

Hi Linda,

Unfortunately there are many people out there that lose their home to foreclosure because they don't understand their home ownership rights and/or the foreclosure process.

This house, according to Cook County records, is currently owned by an LLC company. It has been on & off market since 2007. They first put it up for sale for $499k and their bottom last list price was $399k.

It was put on market as a 2-4 unit building then as land. My guess for the reason it not selling is price.

Hope this helps you walk away from the apparent heart felt loss or nostalgia.

As far as I can tell it has not been on the market for several years. There are cancelled and expired listings from 2007 and 2008. I would have to research further to see who owns it.
