Hi Ana,

Jim is right. You should work with a Realtor that you trust. We all have access to REO properties, many more than just Wells Fargo properties. Realtors who specialize in REOs are WAY TOO BUSY now to properly represent a buyer because they have so many listings. And even if they do have the time, you should have a Realtor who's on your side only, rather than on your side & the bank's side.

I hope you find what you're looking for.

Wells Fargo home mortgage # 866-234-8271

Unless you are buying in bulk, (like hundreds of houses at once for cash) they will refer you back to Realtors.

You may acheive desirable results on stand alone houses by working with your choice of Realtor (representing you as a buyers agent) instead of just defaulting to the banks listing agent.

Hi Ana-

I'd suggest finding a local agent who specializes in REO's to help you in your search. Once the bank takes possession, they immediately assign the property to one of their service providers who will prepare the property and place it on the market. A good agent, who's well versed in REOs, should be able to set you up on a notification system and help you act when you find the right one for you.
