Kerry, sorry, but this is a fellow buyer- with general advice. Please forgive me for telling you what you know already.

" Ask" the city records "ACRIS" off the NYC.gov web pages -- find out about the sales history and names on the deed and the bank that gave them the mortgage. Look for the name of the condo management or co-op association. (print it out or write it down!)

Ask the agent or the seller or anyone who will talk to you. Keep asking! Walk around.Go get a cup of coffee in a shop nearby and chat.

V IMP! Is mostly everyone telling you more or less the same story about the property? The neigbors? The area?
