Good Morning Maria,

It appears you have been inundated with answers to your question and everyone appears to be saying the same thing. To be on the ocean near the West Palm Beach area, you will need to cross over the bridge to the Island of Palm Beach. This is a very exclusive area and is certainly a place you should consider if wanting to be on the ocean. There are some fantastic ocean front homes just north and south of Palm Beach as well. My office is actually on the Island of Palm Beach and we specialize in Ocean front homes. I would absolutely love the opportunity to earn your business and share our knowledge of the Palm Beach ocean front properties. If you would like to view some ocean front homes, please check out our website at http://www.tolliverprince.com. Also, should you have any questions at all, please do not hesitate to give me a call. Thank you Maria and hope to hear from you soon.

Hi Maria!

Technically, West Palm Beach isn't on the beach. However, there are homes and condos on the Intracoastal Waterway, which has lovely views! If you specifically want to be on the beach, your options are Palm Beach and South Palm Beach, Singer Island, North Palm Beach, Jupiter (and Jupiter Island), and Juno Beach.

As you know, you will pay more the closer you are to the beach. Your post referenced Downtown. If you consider options in West Palm Beach, you will get more home for your money. WPB is just over the bridge from the beach. From Downtown, you are less than 10 minutes from the beach. Even at the very most western part of Palm Beach County, you are only 30 minutes from the soft sand and warm water!

Palm Beach County really is a tropical paradise! Palm Beach County offers a variety of amenities, beaches, gorgeous sunrises and sky views, and city living.

Palm Beach County has 47 miles of coastline, so there are many towns in which you can "be right on the ocean" in either a condo or a single family home. Unfortunately, West Palm Beach isn't one of them, so you need to look in places like Lake Worth, Jupiter, Boca Raton, or Palm Beach as examples.

Maria,

There are no beaches in the town of West Palm Beach which ends geographically at the Intracoastal Waterway. If you want to be "on the beach" you will want to look into Palm Beach Island, Singer Island, North Palm Beach, Jupiter, Juno Beach or Jupiter Island. If you want to send me an e-mail with as much information as you can about what you are looking for I would be very happy to help you find the perfect opportunity. Make sure you look into the Jupiter area which is the only area locally where you do not have to cross over a barrier island to reach the surf and sand. Throw in miles of the most beautiful, undeveloped beach you will find anywhere and some still amazing deals on real estate and you have a winning location to escape those New York winters.

Since you are just starting out on your home buying process you are doing the best thing by doing some up front research. Our new book on the home buying process that we authored with a few other real estate experts from around the country has just been published and may be the best $19 you could invest. You can learn more at his link;

There is more good news for buyers locally as you have more options available to you as inventory levels continue to rise. As of this morning you have more housing choices that you have had in well over a year and you might find this article we recently wrote interesting;

http://www.trulia.com/blog/tompriester/2014/02/home_inventor…

Much of our current housing inventory tends to be priced higher than the most recent sales or can have condition or location issues. However, the market is still very strong with well priced new listings that hit the market in good shape selling very quickly; many times within the first day or two.

As a buyer you need to be prepared to react quickly to any new opportunities as if you don't someone will. I can set up my system to notify you immediately of the best new deals as again we will have to be poised to pounce. Feel free to contact me at your convenience and I am here to make your dreams come true.

While none of West Palm Beach is located oceanfront, if you are high enough up in a condo on the intracoastal waterway, or even a little way inland, you might see the ocean over the icw and Palm Beach, and if you face north, up to Singer Island.

Maria, if you are looking for a West Palm Beach condo with ocean VIEW, let me help you find it. A few properties also have their own beaches on the intracoastal waterway... when units are available for purchase.

No part of West Palm Beach is on the Beach. It borders the Intraclastal. You have to go to Palm Beach Island to be on the beach.

Hi Maria,

West Palm Beach is not a ocean front city. The most eastern part of West Palm runs along the Intercoastal waterway. Just east of West Palm beach is the city of Palm Beach, which is an Ocean/Beach front City.

Please feel free to contact me to assit you in finding what you are looking for. I live and work in West Palm for the past 8 years.

Hi Maria,
I live on the water in West Palm Beach. Island of Palm Beach is on the Ocean side. This runs from South Palm to North Palm if you want to be in the West Palm Beach area. West Palm Beach has intracoastal front buildings and there is only one that actually has its own beach on the intracoastal. This is where I live. Id be happy to show you around our fine city. If you would like to discuss more and have me email you listings Id be happy to do so. Currently Oceanfront units start at around 120,000 and up and intracoastal units start at 100,000 and up. I hope that helps you with your question.

I would appreciate you sending me the same information on waterfront pet friendly property. The top of my budget is $200K. We have a 3 pound Yorkie a Great Dane and an English Bulldog (NO RELATIONSHIP TO A PITBULL). I have never been down in that area and lived in Clearwater, FL for the past 15 years. Time to explore a new area.

Thank you for your help,
