The government shutdown put a lot of lenders on hold for offering it, because they were waiting on clarification from Uncle Sam.

But now, a lot of lenders offer the program.

I'd call Michal Bander at Guaranteed Rate, 954-684-9227. He just switched a client of mine from FHA to conventional due to an underwriting change by FNMA.
