Lewisville vacinity
I would also include Highland Village, Copper Canyon, Hickory Creek, and Corinth in the areas to investigate. I'm a fan of Highland Village area from way back for the unique architecture and proximity to Lewisville Lake. Keep the year built open in your search or you'll miss those. The 60's, 70's, 80's were a really cool time in Dallas area home building.
Have a blessed day!

Kristin,
Good question. You've had a lot of good answers below. Coppell is a neat place to live. I live in Coppell so know the area well. I'd guess most people move to Coppell for the schools and then for location. Other alternatives I'd think of would be Flower Mound and then as a distant 3rd perhaps Lantana. As you move from Coppell to Flower Mound to Lantana...the houses will get newer and the $/sqft will likely go down, and the lots get bigger.....on average.
One thing I like about Coppell for example vs Lewisville is small town feel. This is difficult to understand when visiting Dallas area as all the towns are now more or less connected and you don't always know when you change from one city to the next. Coppell is 40,000 and we're pretty much done growing. Maybe 300-400 home sites left, if that many. You tend to see the same people at the soccer games, grocery store, farmers market, post office, etc. That's comforting to me in today's marketplace. FM is about 80,000 I think and Lewisville and Carrollton even bigger. I think about 100,000 each or more......not big cities by any means, but they start to have more big city problems in the schools and in the cities themselves. Still nice places to live though. Other ideas for you might be Highland Village, Hickory Creek or Corinth. We sell in all these cities and would be happy to send you sample properties if you need them.
As you can tell from the great feedback that you are getting, Coppell is an excellent area. Also, Castle Hills, Austin Ranch, and Flower Mound are some great possibilities. There are some important questions though and those are in addition to schools what do you like to do , what do you need to be nearby? As Realtors we can do a much more effective job in getting you in the correct home and the correct neighborhood by doing a thorough interview and needs evaluation. This sort of paints a picture of the areas that are best for your needs and desires. We have put families in homes in Coppell, Austin Ranch, Riverside, La Villita, Carrollton and Castle Hills all within the last 12 months. I would encourage you to check out the feedback on our website and let us know how we may help you.
Hello Kristin,
There is a community in Lewisville called Castle Hills. It's a master planned community with golf course, several community pools, lake to fish in, and many parks. It's very conveniently located. Homes range from the mid 300s to 2.8 Mil. The schools are very good too. Check out the website http://www.castlehills.com
Coppell is very nice too but is a bedroom community. The schoold district is very good too.

Kristin,
As a resident of Coppell and an agent that has worked the area for 20 years, there is not a bad location in Coppell. In that price range you should have plenty to pick from. East Coppell gets a little less airline noise than west Coppell but west Coppell is very nice (West of Denton Tap). It's not a big issue as we have past clients that live on both sides and love their neighborhoods. If you have children, some people pick their neighborhood based on the schools but they are all very good. We live in East Coppell (Lakes of Coppell area) but we would live in any part of town if we moved. There are waterfront homes, creek lot homes, and standard lot homes available in that price range right now. Coppell is only abut 12 square miles but its got a small town feel that is close to everything. It's a great place to live. Good luck in your search.
