If somebody got a principle reduction then they're not selling the house. They've worked their tail off to get that reduction and the small print reads that there's a time frame that they can't sell the house and if they do the govt gets a percentage of any proceeds so fishing in this barrel doesn't make any sense. Sorry.

Pls....fewer questions and more answers....this is about the $25B Loan Forgiveness Prog. by the gov....if you do not know about this fine....pls just STFU and read this:

From the American Banker:
http://www.americanbanker.com/issues/177_170/mortgage-settle…

IMHO, if someone now owes significantly less on their home (per above program) they should be more willing to negotiate on price....maybe.

If such a list existed, what value would it have to you?

If a property had part of their mortgage forgiven, then it was sold in a short sale, and you'd be looking for Sold properties. If some of the loan was forgiven in a loan modification, then you're looking for occupied homes.

What is it that you want to do? Please email or call me off forum, maybe I can answer your questions or point you in the right direction.

There is not a list like that. Homes that are on the market generally have loans on them and may be either a short sale or a regular sale. The ones that are owned by the bank are called REOs.
If you use my website you can see the homes that are on the market.
