Why not use one of the realtors who responded to your question. I find the realtors on trulia to be experienced knowledgeable, and very responsive to buyers needs.

Best of luck to you!

We here at The Realty Factor specialize in short sales. We have several facilitators who work on all the communication with the banks. I would suggest to find a few Agents who specialize and call them. You will be able to tell right away if this will be the agent for you to work with. Here is a link to our website which will give you a little more info. Good luck in your search !

Hi Kate,
I have been in the Orlando area for 20 years. In the past 3 years I have concentrated my efforts in Short Sales & Foreclosures. I am very familiar with the Altamonte area. If you would like to discuss your needs with me directly, please email me at: bassethound1@earthlink.net. Thank you for allowing me to earn your business. I look forward to hearing from you.

Take time to discuss your buying needs and concerns with a couple of Realtors this should help you gain their knowledge, experience and track record, and ask for references.

Questions to ask, do they understand both the buyer and seller side of the short sale process, do they know the right questions to ask the sellers agent, are they a full time agent and can they negotiate?

Hope this helps,

HI Kate,

I am an Altamonte Springs native and I specialize representing buyers purchasing Short Sales and Bank Owned Foreclosures. Both me and my husband are a full time Realtors and have over 10 years of real estate experience. We have the patience and perseverance it will take to guide you through what can be the daunting endeavor of working with foreclosure property.

Our first step would be to provide you with a road map, plenty of information with the many questions that you will have and provide you with a team of professionals that will make the process as easy and stress free as it possibly can be. We can email you a free short guide on tips on buying an REO or short sale foreclosure to get started.

We look forward to getting to know you, to understand your needs your lifestyle and to make all the pieces of the puzzle come together. We thrive on knowing that I really get to help people and make a difference at pivotal point in their lives.

I invite you to review my profile here on Trulia and read my testimonials, read my blog and contributions and to visit our website at http://www.devivorealty.com. Feel free to contact me with any questions you may have.

Kate -

There are good agents right here on Trulia!

Look for an agent who is a Certified Distressed Property Expert... They have advanced training and work with short sales and REO/Foreclosure properties on a daily basis. They will be able to advise you of the pitfalls to buying a short sale or bank owned home.
