We bought our home in 2007 from the original builder. Our home is on the Indian River and has a first floor master with a second master upstairs, we have a full finished basement with a full bath, two other baths and a den complete the upstairs. Our fist floor has a walk in bay window in the dining romm in fron of the house and an open kitchen and great room in the back, We have decks on both the upper and main levels.

Our neighbors are wonderful, we have all age ranges which makes it fun. From little ones to retirees it is a great mix. We rented our home for the first few years and have lived here full time for a year. The only crime we have experienced are kids sneaking in the pool from outside the community! Not sure where the "high crime" is, but it has not been our experience. People here look out for each other while at the same time respect each family's privacy. I am very happy to live in this lovely community on the water. The summer sunsets are stunning!

Homes are ok - nothing special. Neighborhood itself is nice, but be aware that it is located within a very bad section of Millsboro - high crime. I would not advise anyone I know to buy a home here! There is a very good reason that these homes started in the high 500's and now can barely sell in the 100's! It isn't just the economy or bad real estate market that has caused the decline in this case!!

Ryan's homes provides good value for the dollar, and their homes in Wharton's Bluff are no exception. There have been two builders in Wharton's Bluff, the first is no longer building in there, but did offer homes that were more upscale in terms of size, quality, and price. These homes were completed, for the most part, in 2008, and have now appeared occasionally on the resale market.

The location of Wharton's Bluff is unique, waterfront on the Indian River, just a few miles from the town of Millsboro. It is convenient to commute to work in the Bethany Beach or Rehoboth Beach areas from here without getting into Route 1 or Route 113 traffic.

If you would like more information about Wharton's Bluff or would like to see homes in this neighborhood, please contact me at myralee448@aol.com. I am a local real estate agent with Jack Lingo, Realtor, Inc.
