Dear Leticia,

The HUD administration does not have a minimum requirement for a credit score. Each lender set their own requirements. Usually the minimum score is 580, but many lenders began to require 620. I would not recommend using online lender, many times you could have problems with them on closing day. I have a couple of good lenders that could help you to get pre-approved for a lone. Please feel free to contact me any time.

To get a loan requires SEVERAL factors, with credit score being just one of them.
Find a local lender before you start doing the "lending tree" online thing. You need a solid basis of what is there right now, and what is getting ready to change very soon.
