Key word is negotiable! But do remember the service an Agent/Company provides and knowlege of pricing is quite important as well. Best of Luck!!

Commissions are always negotiable between you and your agent, there are no set standards; therefore interview a few agents from different realty companies, then choose the one you like best and who has the most to offer. Choose your agent with care, and not by commission alone.

A realtor's commission is negotiable but in our area in Upstate New York, it tends to average between 5% and 7%. Hope that helps!

There is no "going" rate. There's no standard, regular, usual, normal or typical rate.

By law, all Realtor's commissions are negotiable. That doesn't mean that each and every Realtor will negotiate their commission with you, merely that there is no fixed standard. Each agent and agency charges a rate based on the services they provide.

Interview a few of them and ask them this question... they'll be happy to provide their rate, and tell you what that includes.

Good luck.
