what info. should i find out about a vac. house
the house is in Rockford,IL i,ve asked around and found out it has been vac. about 2 years and the taxes are unpaid for this year the last sale type in (2005) said D(deed) how can i own this house and what steps should i take

FIRST ANSWER
I would inquire about property taxes, common area, water,or amenities access, association or other related fees, i.e. dock fees, access to and from the property and in addition to an inspection, I would be attentive to other factors that affect the property such as flooding, fire potential in area or inclement weather conditions.
