A property may be taken off listing services at the request of the seller for any number of reasons. But, it may actually still be "on the market", as in it's still available for purchase. Get a real estate broker to call up the listing agent for you and see if that's that's the case.

Off market can mean several things. The seller could be doing work on the property or have guest and does not want showings. If it was a short sale, it could be on it's way to foreclosure. It could be between listing periods. Sugges that you contact a buyer broker in your area and have them check it out for you. Beverly Howe, ABR, GRI, TRC, CIPS broker@floridabuyerbroker.com

The agent removed it from active listing for various reasons..could be that it was discovered
that whoever was selling it did not have the right to do so..sometimes on bank owned that happens then they fix the problem and clear up the title and put it back on the market. If it was a regular listing, for sale by owner, it could be that the owner decided to pull it off the market.
