Hi Lee,
Charlotte County properties are broken down into lots, block and section. Section 15 is simply a specific area of Port Charlotte that runs between Orlando Blvd. to the west & Loveland Blvd. to the east and Peachland Blvd. to the south & Veterans Blvd. to the north. The link below can help you see the defined area if your not familiar with the area. Most of the home in that area are 1980's and newer, with county water and sewer.

Section 15 near Peachland/Alton is a beautiful area of Port Charlotte with lots of trees and canals. This area has great access to the shopping mall, shopping, highways, Port Charlotte Beach, Boating, Fisherman's Village and so on. It is one of our favorite areas. There are are variety of homes, the one you mentioned is newer, on a canal with a lovely pool in a Custom Built area.

All places in Charlotte County are broken down by lot, block and section. The legal description of the lot. Section 15 is called out a lot because it has newer homes and is on water and sewer.

Charlotte County is broken down into subdivisions. Section 15 is a subdivision in Port Charlotte. Click here to view the map of the sections - http://www.ccgis.com/gis/ftp_pdf_page.html. Section 15 is described as a desirable location in many MLS descriptions because it has city water, is close to amenities and the houses are usually well kept.
