You may also want to consider Fort Mill or Tega Cay SC. It is still an easy commute to the airport, has award winning schools, beautiful Lake Wylie and lower real estate taxes than some of the NC areas mentioned. Feel free to contact me for more information, and I can also send you a link to view the schools performance ratings.

Thanks,

Hi!

Realtors are not allowed to discuss such information, but an excellent resource for you would be http://www.greatschools.org

You may enjoy the South Charlotte area, if you're not from the area though.

Email me directly if you'd like some help with your relocation!

Arjun,

Charlotte has a lot of good school districts. Part of where you live depends on the budget you are looking to pay. I currently live in Matthews,NC. And my drive to the airport takes me approximately 20 to 30 minutes. I do not know how far out you want to be from the airport. Charlotte is part of the Charlotte Mecklenburg School system which is the largest school district in North Carolina. There are schools that rate better than others but having children in elementary through High School I cover the gammit in schools in Charlotte.
Personally I have been pleSed with the quality of education my children have received in the charlotte school system. As a Realtor we are not allowed to steer you to one area or away from one. What I can do is tell you a great site to look up schools is http://www.ncreportcard.org. There you can see how schools rank in the district and state.
But, ultimately, depending on what you are looking for in a house, price range and style will dictate more of where to look than school.
Please e-mail me or give me a call and I will be happy to send you homes that fit your criteria.

We are planning to move to North Carolina to escape from Minnesota cold weather and still experience, enjoy all the 4 seasons.

I work in IT Software Consulting and I travel Mon - Thu, so its nice to stay close to big airport.

What are best place to live, best schools, best communities in North Carolina?

Appreciate for your response.

Thanks,
Arjun

As Joe said, Cabarrus county is generally the go to county for great schools!

The highest rated school system in all of North Carolina is the Mooresville Graded School district. President Obama visited this school system last year and called it a model for America in Technology deployment. Every student is given a computer and internet accesses at home. The superintendent was recognized last year as the National Superintendent of the year. Its not just me saying it, here is a link to an article about it:

Not only that but great quality of life with Lake Norman next door and its over 500 miles of shoreline, the home of many of NASCAR's race teams and the city of Charlotte about 25 miles away.

I'd be happy to talk with you more if you are interested. (704) 928 7198. Have a great day, Ray
