Dear Shruti,
The property you are looking at is in a great neighborhood, but there are many more family-friendly neighborhoods in Lakewood and Long Beach. In general, Long Beach schools are well regarded with many earning national blue ribbon status.

In my opinion, what you need to look at is what you can afford, quality of schools, access to work and put together some areas that best fit your needs. A good Realtor can help.

Give me a call if I can assist.

If you have school aged children go to the API (academic performance index website and check the scores for the local schools.

Once you find the school that meets your needs, then you should look for homes in the area.

I agree with Shannon and Paige, I love Long Beach and my clients have as well. I have been selling in Long Beach since 1979 and am still at it.

You won't be disappointed if you live here. When you are ready I would love to have the opportunity to work with you.

Hi Shruti,

There are many wonderful neighborhoods in Long Beach! I grew up here - born & raised - and it just really depends what your needs are as to what would be best for you!

Off the top of my head some great neighborhoods include Park Estates, El Dorado Park Estates, Los Altos, and Plaza. Also various pockets of Belmont Shore & Belmont Heights as well.

If you can clarify a bit more, I'd be happy to address your specific needs!

There are a number of great areas to live in Long Beach. The property you were apparently looking at is in El Dorado Park Estates, which is a nice neighborhood and offers an award-winning school, Newcomb Academy. But there are also lots of other great areas -- Los Altos, California Heights & Bixby Knolls, Belmont Heights, Lakewood Village, Park Estates, Alamitos Heights and more. Which neighborhood will work best for you will depend on what you're looking for as well as your price range.

If you'd like to discuss Long Beach areas in person, please feel free to contact me. I've been helping Long Beach home buyers since 1998.

Warm regards,
