The property you are looking at is in a great neighborhood, but there are many more family-friendly neighborhoods in Lakewood and Long Beach. In general, Long Beach schools are well regarded with many earning national blue ribbon status.
In my opinion, what you need to look at is what you can afford, quality of schools, access to work and put together some areas that best fit your needs. A good Realtor can help.

Once you find the school that meets your needs, then you should look for homes in the area.
You won't be disappointed if you live here. When you are ready I would love to have the opportunity to work with you.

There are many wonderful neighborhoods in Long Beach! I grew up here - born & raised - and it just really depends what your needs are as to what would be best for you!
Off the top of my head some great neighborhoods include Park Estates, El Dorado Park Estates, Los Altos, and Plaza. Also various pockets of Belmont Shore & Belmont Heights as well.
If you can clarify a bit more, I'd be happy to address your specific needs!
