Hi Mdwilson:

Most people do not realize that under the fair housing act real estate professionals are not legally permitted to answer your question.

The Philadelphia school district & police department has good websites to view, also check out center city distrct website as well as every block.com. They should give you some direction.

Check out the school information, such as via websites. Who has good test scores and the programs you would be interested in? Also check out the crime rate in the areas where you are interested.

4 of the most highly regarded public elementary schools in Philadelphia are located in some very desirable neighborhoods. The four schools I am referring to are: Meredith, McCall, Greenfield and Penn-Alexander. All are located in neighborhoods that include historic homes and tree lined streets with walkable access to fine dining, cafes, pubs, parks, etc. I know the neighborhoods and schools well. Feel free to contact me.

Hi, there are many good schools in the city but one of the most popular areas is the Meredith School Catchment.

This link will take you to a website that shows you the boundaries of the catchment area.

Hi, You can visit http://www.Homefair.com and click on the "city reports" section for in-depth crime stats and area demographics. They have a great side by side zip code comparison feature as well. As for schools you can visit http://www.SchoolDigger.com, http://www.GreatSchools.org, and http://www.SchoolMatters.com
