Butt3rf7y,

You may hear different and varying opinions here at Trulia from different experts but honestly you just need to sit down with a few loan officers and talk to them about getting pre-qualified. Let them tell you what loan programs are available and which one would best best suited for your situation. When it comes down to it there are many loan programs out there, many lenders with different policies, and the only opinion that really matters is that of the lender that says, Yes. Don't stop at the first No. Shop around until you find the right loan and the right Loan Officer for you.

Short job time will not disqualify you for a FHA loan. FHA requires that you can prove your last 24 months of employment so it depends on what you were doing during that time. School or training is usually OK. Drop me a email or give me a call with questions. I'm a Indiana Banker and can help

Hello Butt3rf7y,
The best thing is to consult your loan officer. She/He will be able to show you all the options. Sometimes alternative credit may be considered. Be honest and have a consultation with him to let you know what possibilities you have. Good luck in your home search!
